“What is beautiful to you?,” she asks.
Eyeliner, lipstick, doesn’t really seem like me. But it could be. It feels unnecessary. I don’t want to paint my face. I like my face as it is. I like the way the sun colors my skin and how my good circulation from my daily movements blushes my cheeks, and how the food I eat makes me look and feel vibrant. That’s real beauty to me: sunshine, movement, good food.
